In the mirror A mother's face Unhealed wounds Heart misplaced Made choices Led me to unwanted spaces Wandered through life To unfamiliar places But through it all I learned my way The pain was a teacher Guiding me each day No longer bound No unstable ground I'm writing my story New life I've found
