Regina Apis

The Queen Bee like Gaia,

Is mother to all

But is betrayed like Caesar,

By her innumerable children.

Her long Nyx abdomen,

That luster and glows like a lantern

Her moon pale long legs

Her sunny yellow stripes with night black.

Even young betrayal occurs by her kin

In a veil of death she waits

A rival approaches her stinger ready,

A spear that never rusts or creaks.

A machine that buzzes

Served by the people she control,

The man she mates with

The women who feed her royal jelly.

The buzzing becomes hissing

Surround her in a cuddle that burns,

Like a cocoon of flames

Boils, blisters, and burns to death

How could such beauty be betrayed?
