Regret: Let It Go

I know we're strangers now,

but you're the most beautiful person

I've had the pleasure of knowing.

You're strong willed and spunky;

yet, like your cheeks,

warm and glowing.

Our relationship wasn't a fairy tale,

this I now know.

Our infinity's, laughs, and kisses

came halting to a slow

the moment all those cracks-

the arguments, miscommunication, and selfish acts-

severed the bond

so special to our two souls.

But I wouldn't change a thing,

even the struggles we faced

molded and shaped who we are today.

In the future I'll smile

as I recall the times we shared,

and your unforgettable face.
