Regret of the living

Pain clouds the mind for all actions are from the heart Emotions flooding at once tears you apart. They speak of his final hours Such a joyous soul ripped away as darkness cowers. Bang bang bang Left sitting with his face frozen in one final position. His story cut short with no final exposition. Another light burned out too fast The same sad story with a different cast. A man destined to be a beacon of hope Taken down by one looking for dope. Hearts can mourn but the dead can't be raised So why only then do we let their name be praised?
