Regrets

No regrets,

That is what I tell myself

And anyone who will listen.

Everything that I go through

Leads me to where I am supposed to go,

And who I am supposed to be,

That’s how it is supposed to works.

This philosophy doesn’t seem to be true.

In the world I live in

Bad things happen when good things don’t,

And good things don’t happen.

What seems right is wrong,

What seems wrong still isn’t right,

And until you’ve messed something up

You can’t possibly know how not to mess it up.

I don’t want money.

Or fame,

Or even to rediscover lost love.

If I could change on thing,

I would have no regrets.
