Regrets
Dear Former Best Friend,
How are you?
I often wonder how you are doing,
But I never have to courage to ask
Our friends.
They often bring you up in conversations
And I pretend I am not hurt that
I am no longer part of your life.
Do you ever wonder about me?
How did we ever reach this point,
Where we hide our feelings
And all the years
We were together.
I was wrong
And I should have
Told you to wait for me.
I was selfish.
I hope we will be able to be friends.
One day.
I am sorry.
Sincerely,
Your Former Best Friend
