Reincarnated love

A fluent hello; an exceptional goodbye.

The acoustics, the passion, the clairvoyance in the charcoal sky.

I loved you, I did not perceive it in the meantime; still I loved you at that evanescence in time.

I recognized you, you felt so recurrent.

I felt as  if my heart had belonged to you in another lifetime, possibly in another world.

I abandoned the dance floor.I did not glance back.

I innocently continued my way towards the exit,

nevertheless I knew your gaze had been set on me.

My heart ceaselessly fathomed its way back to you, and my mind told me it was you. It was all for you.

I met people after you, I knew people before you, but it was always meant to be you.

I recollect our first meeting as if it were a night ago.

Before you; I was a troubled soul,  I had no moral compass.

I honored being alone. I expected to be alone for as long as I lived, accepting my role in life.

After you, nothing was the same.

My heart elected you and my soul bleeds your name.

I am vulnerable, and fixed on you.

As I lay on your chest I remember this and more.

You chose me.

I am no longer blue.
