Reinvention

I have become this comfortably,

Uncomfortable,

Numb.

My friend asked me how I was doing and god damn,

I finally found the words to describe how i feel.

I normally feel like the ocean.

Typically,

I feel powerful, roaring, rhythmic.

I am a fixer,

A gladiator.

I hold dark secrets in the deepest parts of me,

Some are mine,

And some are not.

The depths of the ocean fill me,

I usually have control.

But right now I feel like the tide.

Rocking,

Peaceful,

Calm.

I feel calm.

You might not see the problem,

But I do not know calm,

It is not in my vocabulary..

I normally am a hurricane,

Disastrous,

Powerful,

So in control..

So full of life.

Right now I am not a hurricane or a storm.

Right now I am not powerful,

Or in control.

But that is okay because I reinvented myself.

Right now, I am the calm before the storm.
