Rejection Syndrome (8/23/12)

It’s funny how, when you’re rejected, It feels like your feelings are neglected But the other person’s feelings must be respected I look into your eyes, I can see passed the disguise Others judge ya surface But I have a deeper purpose You see, they only wanted you for one reason Maybe just for that season People can never get enough of that summer love The sex, the flings, all of the above When you told em you weren’t gonna have it, They knew they couldn’t smash it And they couldn’t move passed it As a result of this, you became the center of attention And your life became their favorite subject to mention See I could never understand that shit How they couldn’t man up, But had to catch a fit She’s out of your league, Out of mine too But you don’t hear me spreading shit that ain’t true Like her spreadin her legs through the crew How can your spread rumors to ruin someone’s reputation Just to mask your own humiliation See, I know she don’t want me, but I remain a close friend I stick by her and never attempt to offend And them suckas don’t even try to make amends They went hard on her for speaking her mind To me, she’ll always be one of a kind Them suckers was blind…to think she’d ever waste her time…on them Hey, beauty can kill, So I must be the Walkin Dead And they haven’t crossed over to the other side
