People often see pictures of a couple online

And immediately comment “relationship goals”

Is kissing someone

Really a relationship goal?

Is holding hands with a person

Something you strive for in a relationship?

These basic actions of a relationship

Should not be what people admire;

It should not be the reason

For why people would want to have a significant other.

Because true relationship goals is

Emotional support.  

Because true relationship goals is

Striving for each other’s personal growth.

Because true relationship goals

Involves trust.

Because true relationship goals is

Being able to laugh and enjoy each other’s presence.

People idolize the physical aspects of a relationship,

But they don’t realize that relationships are so much more.
