Relationships

You can’t walk into a relationship with expectations for the future.

When you find a man, let him stand, let him stand alone

Don't drag him down to get your feet off the ground

Or you'll see it’s not love that you’ve found.

A man’s heart is like a stray’s

If you pull him close, he’ll push away

So let him come to you

If he's the one, then he won't run

Don’t fall in love with the future, love in the present

We get so enamored with all the things that we could do

And when those things don’t happen, we fall into resentment.

Again, through personal experience, to love someone you have to love all of them and acknowledge both the good and the bad. Don't try to make someone be what you want them to be. Either love them or leave them alone.
