Release

As the words flow from my fingertips Each feeling becomes less and less Almost like I'm watching sinking ships I'm losing sight of the crazy mess I put the words down on the page And I feel a change begin to start What leaves e first is all the rage And then a feeling of warmth fills my heart Writing has become my escape A way to get away from all this pain It serves as a protective drape Working together to help keep me sane Poetry is my release As I let out all my thoughts and dreams It really gives me a sense of peace Because I no longer feel like I am tearing at the seams.
