Release Me.
Forgive me,
For never letting you in,
For the years you wasted trying to learn,
For always pushing you away.
Forgive me.
This guilt I feel welling up and ready to burst,
A feeling I know much too well,
It leaves me with only pitiful pleas.
Forgive me!
I plead and beg of you,
Though my voice fails to work,
And I am left speechless in the face of conflict.
Forgive me?
Won’t you please?
Will you set me free?
From this chain that binds my heart?
Forgive me,
For the times you yelled,
For the times you cried,
For the times you tried.
Forgive me.
I am sorry,
I have learned;
A lie.
Forgive me!
I run away from you,
Your words of sorrow leaving me breathless,
And perturbed, a smile crosses your features.
Forgive me?
Will we continue in circles?
Will this cycle never end?
Will you grant me catharsis?
Forgive me,
Forgive me.
Forgive me!
Forgive me?
