Relic

A building left abandoned and the sign left unkept, which hangs above the welcome mat, its color having long since lost its lustrous vibrance. Now wears a myriad of different shades of gray, and the bricks that made the walls that they called their home, now brittle and rounded at the edges from the wind and the rain, even knocking a few out leaving holes which over time the wild life has taken their claim but even that was long ago for not even they had use of this place so it stands a reminder of what it was a fragmented relic that now stands slowly morphing into ruins as the world passes by it stands slowly taken by nature, now wearing a coat of vines that hang from its sides fighting with one another voraciously for the sunlight that falls upon the brittle brick and mortar walls, giving ease for their roots to take hold and securing their claim on its feeble frame but as time continued on the vines shriveled up and died leaving the building alone to stand, now with a wall collapsed on one side giving shelter once again to the woodland creatures, both big and small from the violent storms that comes and goes, giving the building a chance to be of use again but as the past would suggest it will see the time where even nature passes it bye heeding no thought of the relic there’re passing right by not even so it still stands as it did before not complaining nor questioning what it did to be left behind so it stays as it did then a quiet wordless silent relic just waiting to have use again as the world passes it by ever changing and moving while it stands stock still as its foundation cracks and breaks and its bricks separate from the mortar that held it together all the years, until it can stay up no longer and it all falls apart having fulfilled its purpose as best it could having not once complained whined or cried about why it was left alone and abandoned as it tenants whether fauna or flora left it alone to slowly diminish into dust and scatterd fragments of what it was, having been left to be a relic, to stay unchanged its purpose still the same as the world ran by not even stopping to bat an eye or even to just say hi as it slowly died as a abandoned antique left unkept and unused as time flew by and people forgot it and what its purpose was back in its glory days, when its paint was still drying and the door was open and its welcome mat, welcomed the passer's by, but now not even a thread remains, to show it was there and now so much time has gone by since then that even the concrete foundation is hidden under a hill of dirt piled way up high from the erosion of wind over time, with grass grown thick from the minerals found in the fragmented remains of the bricks that made its walls, giving a comfortable cushion for people to take a seat on, and the space it took up kept the fauna at bay making a clearing free from the light pollution of the city, giving a clear view into the midnight skies allowing for a perfect view of the stars way up there in space so far away, they seem to the naked eye as little white specks in the boundless sky, which has gained it attention once again the building even though buried and forgotten has found use again as a place for star gazers to spot constellations and planets that shine ever so far away, and for lovestruck couples to make wishes of happy lives together on shooting stars, and in the end, it has found its place in the world again even though its past has been forgotten its new life has much to offer for this long past forgotten relic
