Relief (Heartless)

Relief (Heartless)

September 11, 2018 ~ Tuesday

He’s a book with boxes

Analytical machine with no off switch

He’s got a checklist

And I'm on it

Just take me off it

Off this ride, out of this place

Where there’s such little comfort

And even less rest

Where there’s such little understanding

And no sign of peace

What are you to me

If not my savior or relief
