A Remarkably Resilient Word

Awesome; a word that communicates awe.

Awe; an expression that encompasses

a vast spectrum of emotions.

 Will; the name of my love,

who constantly fills me with awe.

The man who inspires my hopes

for a future I never thought I’d have.

A hope that this awesome distance,

awesome in the sense of disheartening dismay,

will one day shrink. Living not hours away,

but a few short steps.  A hope that home,

will always be where you are. A dream

that our love will last. Having your love

is as complex as it is awesome.

Awesome in the sense of fear,

That I will not measure up.

Awesome in the sense of wonder,

that somehow you think I deserve you.

Awesome in the sense of complete,

and utter astonishment of you.

Loving you is awe inspiring, remarkably

life changing, and curiously befuddling.

Loving you encompasses  every emotion

in the spectrum of the word awesome.
