Remebrance

The thought process has been corrupted,

by the constant intrusion of feelings, tangled up in distant memories.

No matter how many barricades I set up,

these feelings always end up finding their way to me,

despite my best efforts to keep them buried.

Now I'm left to contemplate a solution for the pollution plaguing me.

Yet, I can't outsource the problem when the source is within,

especially knowing that an internal conflict shouldn't burden the many.

Rather, it is the individual who should lay the conflict to bed,

but what am I to do when the turmoil can't rest?

You see the initial cause of this dilemma was me running, but now after standing face to face with the issue; I'm not sure what I should do, maybe cry it out into a napkin tissue.

Might as well call me Jk Rowling.

Matter of fact, that's a lie.

The answer is clear to me, all I need to do is accept that the damage has been dealt.

The conclusion is to walk away.

Yet, the reoccurring thought of,

"Is this a test?"

Has kept me lingering, despite my better judgment, or was it a lack of judgment?
