Remember

Dear Peloncillo,

How the years have flied by…

Our memories a mere whisper,

Yet my recollection of you and I,

Still lingers like an eternal blister.

Despite its painful presence,

I have learned to cherish it,

And accept the forbearance,

So that I may sense your spirit.

Reminiscing on those days,

Those hours,

Those minutes,

Those seconds,

Only to find your reconfirmed absence,

A piercing thrust in my enfeebled heart,

Which leaves me in a state of unbalance,

That makes it all the more arduous to part.

Your gorgeous eyes,

Your relentless barks,

Your wonderful size,

Your perfect paws,

Forever in my thoughts will they ensue,

For my feelings are true,

And our memories are too,

So don’t forget…I love you.

Affectionately,

Your Best Friend
