remember this feeling

When you feel lonely

Remember this feeling

When you miss him

Remember this feeling

When you decide you can handle it

Remember this feeling

When you want to feel beautiful

Remember this feeling

When you wonder if he’s with her

Remember this feeling

Because you should never have to feel like that

And he should never be allowed to let you feel like that

And you should never allow yourself to feel like this

Remember that you regret it

Remember that what you want isn’t sweat and skin it’s love

And you will never find that in the back of a stranger’s throat or on their tongue

Or in the way they say fuck

Remember that this didn’t make you feel beautiful

Remember that you were bored

Remember that you had to wash your sheets and brush your hair before you could look anybody in the eye

And brush your teeth before you could look at yourself

Remember that weird thing he did with his tongue

When he asks you if you’re busy don’t lie

Tell him no

But don’t fill up your free time with his fingers or lips

When you feel lonely

Remember that you didn’t like it
