Remember feeling petrifiedThis was the

Remember feeling petrified

This was the end of what I knew,

But I take this new course with pride.

I came into this day wide-eyed;

Basic training, I must make do.

But I take this new course with pride.

The kids line up, I must abide.

In the airport, the tension grew.

But I take this new course with pride.

Would it be fair for me to hide?

With the plane ticket I cling to,

But I take this new course with pride.

I walked with fear being my guide.

Being screamed at what I should do,

But I take this new course with pride.

My emotions are amplified.

The start of adult life came through.

But I take this new course with pride.
