Remember Forever

If I could change the memories

Each glimpse that I forgot

I’d keep them cased in crystal glass

Never to be lost

See flakes of dancing ice?

But the image slowly fades

I’d make it pure, distilled

Forever to be saved

The feel of settled warmth

And every single smile

I’d lose, forget—but, changed,

They stay with me a while
