Remember Me
"Remember Me" by Hze
Sometimes it hurts
And my eyes water up
Sometimes it is eternal, unconditional
And I take it for granted
My poor soul, lost and broken
Only the wind to remind me of His love
It feels like my past is catching up to me
The good, the bad, the ugly, the dirty, the wrong
And it hurts because you told me to sing this song
But you don’t want to hear it anymore
You just want someone to mold, to manipulate
But, sweetheart, it’s too late for those sweepstakes
I’m stronger now
And you can hurt me, I know you can
But I’m not coming back now that I’ve seen who you really are
I’m not coming back now that I’m no longer blind
It took too much time
But I see you now that you see me
And our eyes are blinking slowly
We’re understanding
This is not right
It is not wrong
But it is not right
So it’s time to move on, to say goodbye
But you don’t want to, so here I will apologize
I am sorry
And I wish it could be another way
I hope to see you in the next life
Don’t forget me, okay?
