Remember Me
The problem is:
I trusted you
And you used that
Played me like
A deck of cards
Like a game I thought we were
Playing together
But you had an
Ace up your sleeve
There are tv shows
I can not watch without
Thinking of you
Memories I can no longer
Reflect on without
Wanting to cry
For all your pretense of
Being an outsider
Being no part in this game
Everyone seemed to be a part of
You were the biggest
Player of them all
So if that makes you a hypocrite
Then what does that make me?
All blind worship and
No brain for someone
I dared to call a friend
The problem is:
I trusted you
I still trust you
In a sick sort of way
Because I can’t
Reconcile this
Girl who betrayed me With this
girl I know
I can not put the
Pieces together
But you have always been
A puzzle I could not solve
The problem is:
I trusted you
I still trust you
I want to trust you
But I shouldn’t
Because you would rather see me
Hurt and scraping by
An ant you sprayed with repellent
Screamed “get out of here
No one wants you”
Said I want to see
You hurt
And you stepped on me
Squashed me like the bug
I was to you
But the thing about stepping
On broken people
Like broken glass
Is they will cut you
And when you feel the
Sting of the blood
Flowing out of your veins
As shards of glass pierce you
I hope
You remember me
