Remember me

Remember me when I am gone 

for I will not be here for very long

but for the short time, I remain 

I will love you as much as I possibly can. 

Remember me when my days are through

and remember how very much I do love you.

For my time runs short and I must move on,

there are so many things to see and do before I am gone. 

If it were possible I would want you to come along

but I do not want you there when my time is all gone.

I want you only to think of our happy memories

and if fate is kind, you will just forget all about me.

For the present I want you to know 

that I will think of you where ever I go

and thank god there was someone who cared

that there is someone, my love I shared.
