Remember that time?

Remember that time when you died inside?

When the weight of your chest started crushing your bones?

When the remains of forgotten passions were all your mind held?

When scratched and worn was all your heart felt?

Remember that time when you lost yourself?

When you let yourself fall into a plastic mold?

When you ran through a never-ending desert, suffering for nothing?

When you were a limp puppet, merely waiting for commands?

Remember that time when you stole everything back?

When your arms tingled with the energy of strength?

When your eyes shone with a blaze of intense determination?

When your lips curled into a knowing smirk?

I remember.

You found yourself—your pride, your power.

You steadied your stance, asserting your presence.

You raised your chin, declaring your dominance.

You finally came back and found your way.
