Remember Us

I feel lost and I don't know what to do

because life has been hard without you,  it's been 5 years since we've been apart.

you were so smart.

I'm almost to the age that you were, in the same position

Graduated and leaving home for college.

I was so proud of you.

always looked up to you.

and now you're gone.

I regret that I missed your graduation I am so sorry.

It seems like just yesterday we were sitting on the couch laughing, making jokes about random things

like calamari, like what a fancy word for fancy people.

I should have never been so blind and oblivious, I couldn't even see

that you were hurt.

I wish that you would wake me up from this dream.

this hell on earth.

pull me out and tell me that you're okay.

tell me that I'm okay

Because I don't want to be here without you. We were supposed to live life together

and get through whatever.

were Gemini's remember?

you are my other half

I needed you forever.

you were supposed to be my kid's favorite person like you were mine.

I just hope you remember us

like in God we trust.
