Remembering Hestia

Mortals (to Hestia)

The sting

of the cold

helps me remember

why I hold

why I hold to the pain

why I hold to the broken remains

of my heart

my raw

and bitter

heart

my broken

and

frozen

heart

Hestia (to Mortals)

Dear One

come

come by the fire

thaw your

bitter heart

and remember

Remember

the glowing peace of the hearth

Remember

the cold

Remember

what the cold is

Remember without

the cold

there is

no need for fire

Remember

Dear child

Remember
