Remembering I Am

Hopeless I stare up at my ceiling.

The walls close in.

I am hard pressed on all sides.

Alone in an immense world.

There is uncertainty in everything.

I am swallowed whole by my thoughts.

Tears fall.

Then I remember

I am held tightly

in His outstretched arms.

I am protected.

I am loved.

He who knows and

He who made all things,

cares for me.

Even the stars are within reach.

I lack nothing.

Tears fall.
