"Remembering September"

Help!-
One building then another.

An Inferno blazing like the Sun,
as a Cloud of darkness engulfs the city.

Millions left speechless-
as the lives of two thousand seven hundred and fifty-three loved ones are taken.

Piercing screams and hysterical cries-
someone else dies.

Something that no one could forget.
“We will Never Forget”

Left with the memories of sirens that could be heard for  miles-
with a faint flashing of blue and red.

A great tragedy only lasting seventeen minutes-
felt like an eternity.

The Towers that once stood…
did indeed fall.
