Remembering Today

Someday I hope I’ll look back on this time And I’ll remember the way that I felt Every possibility that was mine Before I knew the cards that I’d be dealt Before truths of responsibility Blissfully unaware of what’s ahead Before the lies that will be told to me Freedom stringing us along by a thread Together we cried, together we lost Moving as one into this unknown world Together we won, together we fought Through this dance of youth, together we twirled Our years together will come and they’ll go Memories will last however the wind blows
