Remembering Who I Am
It stands as an infectious fear
Looming amongst the moon in simple design
Deep inside our souls
We are all fake and cruel
Hiding behind filtered phones like masks
Falling in love with the best facades
We as lovers share that infectious fear beyond moral reasoning
It pours down upon us like teardrops from the moon
A hit parade of desperation
We cling to each other's barriers like symbiotic creatures
It is almost parasitic
And yet it remains a clarity
I am among the many caught in that stlyish trend
I am afraid of everything so I hide it with false bravery
Consumed by sex, lust, and jealousy
I mask my emotional violence with obsessive love
A useless coward
A faggot
Often, I am referred to as a burden
I deserve the Hell that is spoken to me
My mask deserves to be shattered
Truth and acceptance are now entropic myths
Their beliefs are now rotting
Even still, at the altar of remembering who I am
A brief feeling of sanctum is allowed to me
Brief, but it is momentous to me
Because he wishes to see what curls beneath my fake indentity
Despite of who I am
