"Remembering Your Love"

There was a time when you filled me with wonder

When I didn't know you and looked on your face

Like it was lightning striking, or the

softest snowfall on a morning's face.

There was a time when I marveled at the

beauty of you and I felt that your love

was a blessing unparalleled and

my love, your love is beautiful,

it is as fierce and strong

and deep as the Adriatic sea.

But that love has grown familiar,

and I am tossed on the sea of that love

because I am the only one who is

still filled with wonder at the heart of you.

You say you still love me, I know.

But you simply don't love your lover's love.
