reminded me of high school

a friend said he didn't know that i had a mans

and i told him i was confused. 

he said he told his friend that he didn't think i did 

and that's why he asked if i wanted to be his valentine.

he also said he laughed when he found out i had responded with 'lol'

because it reminded him of high school. 

i said i had almost responded with 'are you serious?' 

but then i talked to my roommate who said 

that he had said that his friend said he only wanted to get into my pants.  

that made me gasp

because it reminded me of high school. 

i almost sent him a message asking if he was okay or if he had done well on his philosophy quiz

but i didn't

because i was pretty sure all he wanted 

was to get into my pants. 

it just hadn't seemed that way when he let me play thumb war with him, 

when he put on john mulaney for me, 

and when he played with my hair. 

maybe he had put on a front

and said things he didn't mean. 

he asked me about high school once. 

i told him i was a different person then.
