Reminisce

At seven I lived for 6527 Chalked dreams engrained in cement After thick pours drench my coffee city The ohisama; warm and bright, Bounding down the stairs Seven chairs in sight. The sweet aromas of the Samba Pa Ti I lived for the worn leather blue whale That heated the skin as one escaped To the paradise of clear waters Where laughter and jukebox’s Enticed the soul. I lived for the waves of the sea How they could crash with severity While protecting the colorful inhabitants That gave it the courage to fight back Against the dangers that intoxicated they’re reality I lived for the fearless entirety of a world Of my creation, the lessons I learned Ever so slowly as the blood continued To drip down my knees To reminisce is but a dream A cursed thing that remains unseen To have such memories in ones mind So close to reach but so far Behind to turn the hands of the clock As if you could admire what you once got
