Reminisce

Back on the moss sponged floor where I stand;

Breath of the last season moves the moss

Trying to find the perfect scene, I cross

Wood bridges who remember my foot on land.

But I’ve forgotten the forest, so grand

Only the deer prints changed, never at loss;

Earth gives all necessities without gloss

Neglect these with every human gland

Now I’m coaxed back into serenity,

Memories flood the dust on my mind

Towering trees erase perplexity

My soul and body lost, found and entwined

Taking the world in at once, breathlessly.
