"Reminisced Tribulation"

I write to fill the void in my heart,
The pain in my soul and because I have a voice
If you look at me you see joy
If you stare deep into my soul there's anger, hurt and pain
Looks can be deceiving is just an understatement
I remember the fights and the feeling in my tummy when it would heighten
I remember being little
My parents' quarrel escalated
My father's secret has been revealed
He was cheating on my mother
Her curiosity beckoned her to meddle through his emails
My sister and I have witnessed every negative affray and affliction
My mom ended up leaving and taking us with her
I remember crying and relinquishing my fathers hand
This situation rendered my family
The countless revolting court battles has concocted my childhood
It's too late, the damages are done, my sister and I are left with broken hearts
The relationship I have with my father has been volatile
He has never really been there
Although, he uses finance and gifts as a bribe
I don't know if he truly cares
I profess apathy but deep down I long for my father
The unconditional love my mother has provided for her daughters should be adequate
But a daughter generally anticipates for a fatherly figure
I write to dispense all of my emotions and feelings manifested in me
Poetry flows through everything
Poetry is definitely one of my saviors
Poetry is life
