Reminiscence's Sorrowful Waters

  • Echoes of past memories flow through the musician's mind
  • Bringing the warm, fuzzy feelings that reminiscence brings
  • Ones of songs, dances, and rhythms all intertwined
  • Lyrics and guitar music with the flow of eternal springs
  • The presence of imminent death awaits and the goddess of life sighs
  • For another soul has moved on
  • Taken from the beauteous grasp of life
  • Just as life turns to death, dusk turns to dawn
  •
  • But before they say their goodbyes, they sing of happiness and content
  • Being sick and weak, their voice measures to only a whisper but their message was true
  • They wouldn’t let their yearning for their passion to relent
  • As their life started anew
  •
  • And so death’s grief filled bell rung
  • As gentle as the ocean’s tide
  • The presence of death herself, the musician was now among
  • As she welcomed them, and guided them to the other side
  •
  • On top of smoky waters, a ferryman guided near
  • And the musician knew they had to pay a toll
  • The fear of the unknown built up with every steer
  • They were unsure, as their life, death had stole
  •
  • They ignored their fearful thought
  • And handed the ferryman his coin
  • They traveled until they reached what they sought
  • And there the musician and their deceased loved ones joined
  •
  • In a perpetual state of happiness, warm sun rays
  • Both, the musician now met
  • In the Elysian Fields, where they spend the rest of their days
