Reminiscent
Dear self,
You remind me of someone I use to know.
You've given up before to be the person you are now.
We are spiritually embedded to one another.
I remember a time when your tears were pathways to unknown pain.
Night after night you cried yourself to sleep.
I remember when you use to cut yourself so deep thinking it would permanently erase the pain.
You used it as a tool to manipulate yourself and your ex lovers into thinking that you were broken.
You were never really broken.
You were just a puzzle that had some missing pieces.
You told yourself that you couldn't do better in life so you just gave up.
You didn't realize what God had in store for us.
Once upon a time you were a flower that didn't bloom,
but happily ever after still hasn't come and never will.
In moments like these you were someone I use to know and can never forget.
