Reminiscing routines

“Same”- sounds safe.

Almost easy

Because When I wake up everyday, I knew

I knew what tomorrow held

So used was I

To the same things

Same people

Same thoughts

Same routine

That when the whirlwind of newness hit- I lost

Lost sense of direction,

motivation,

and shivered in the midst of the unknown.

I was so out of touch

Of the methods of these days,

So used was I to my unvarying habits,

I stammered confused- and ashamed

It makes me vulnerable-

The unfamiliarity.

For, a baby used to crawling

cannot walk in a day.

But it can walk with time and patient parenting

So can I- face the Change

Instead of reminiscing

My past routines.
