Remorse
Once at the peak
Gazing past the landscape and into the horizons,
Looking at the opportunities that laid ahead
As the ledge slowly broke,
I fell down and down
Into the land of the hopeless,
Surrounded by regret and lack of perseverance
Struggling to climb the way back up
Seeing pieces of the broken ledge
Opening old wounds
Stuck between the failure of the past and the resolve for a better future
