We wear the mask when we feel vicious.
Sometimes, everyone is lugubrious.
Satan wants us to feel alone,
So on goes the mask so no one will know
Our feelings of hurt and guilt.

It takes time to accept and mend.
We need to rely on each other,
And have a helping hand to lend.
Help each other heal with no hurry.

Father, take away our negative thoughts.
We know our forgiveness cannot be bought.
We are not alone, so we remove the mask,
So in the end, we can complete Your task.
God, You are here with us, so we need not worry.
