A Rendition of "I am From" Poems

I am from old vacuums.

From Roomba to Swiffer

I am from that big blue monster house,

 loud, quiet, ins and outs.

I am from roots, tucked into the ground for growth nestled away

I’m from the Easter egg hunt and red-faced exhaustion

From Kris to Kelli

I’m from the people who jet jaw and are too goofy for their own good

From “What under the sun is going on around here” and “the serenity prayer”.

I’m from Christianity, a challenge now that i’m breaking its belief.

I’m from Highland Park; German

a tuna noodle casserole, a santa's secret Christmas cookie, I am from the time I got lost in the airport and my cousin Jessica found me with an unknown woman, from the brother and sister acting like zombies to scare me--- eyes rolled in the back of their heads , in our drawers is where we keep all that keep us sane and collected.
