Renewable Energy (Sonnet)

Look at the smoke coming from the smokestack

And carbon emissions rise from the car

Pacific waters are under attack

From nuclear fallout traveling far

Gasoline is more costly than before

As the threat of peak oil is present

Leading to a fierce and purposeful war

Executives versus peoples’ resent

We must make a difference for the Earth

We must find new sources of energy

We must unlock the value they are worth

We must implement them all globally

Progress on positive change cannot wait

We must take action before it’s too late.
