the replacement

My whole being

was to be in touch with you

I wanted all my memories

to include your presence

I sent and called, making sure you didn't forget me

As my height changed, so did my view

I never wanted you to be out of my life

You were the only blood I had

Who I mistakenly thought cared

Thru all your short comings

Or should I say sins

I still loved you as if you were my own body

Not to long, it didn't take

Before you realized no longer I could be fooled

The mask lifted up over my eyes

I saw inside the user you really are

And you knew it

You shady, selfish person!

When tradegy hits, -who did you call?

Of course, thats when you were in need

Hmmm... a call, a text - I lack the memory

When my world came crashing down

News for you is what I have

You've been replaced - the things I did like

I see your laugh in people I meet

Your smile and humor you had

When at one point where you did care

I see you eyes and your voice

In random strangers I see

Some are friends, and they out do you

And although you are completely un-needed

My memories are stained with  you
