A Reply to Why I Write
Why do I write?
All the stereotypical answers, really
To express my feelings in a creative way
To get out an idea or story before it consumes me
To show others what I can put into the world
To tell my own story
To empower myself
But, most importantly,
I write to seem different from everyone else who writes poems
To stand out and be noticed
And to some day make a profit from all of my creations waiting to be brought into the world
