Some people love me for who I am

Others hate me for what they see

Some respect me for what they see

Others look down on me for who I am

I make mistakes

I embarrass myself

In front of guys I like

Or people I want to impress

Because I am human

I am me

I do bad things and good things too

I try to seem always good

But I am human

I am me

Sometimes my heart's an open book

Others under lock and key

I cannot help myself

After all, I am only human

I am only me

But God understands my weakness

He loves me anyway

In front of Him and Him alone

I can afford to be human

I can be me
