Rescued

The barking all around me

has made my ears ring.

Shelters are a sight to see,

but never a place to sing.

I have lived here for 4 years,

my time has almost come.

No one will see my tears,

and I won't be able to run.

This lovely face walks through the door,

and stops in front of me.

She kneels down to the floor,

and comes to set me free.

My rescuer has my heart,

and knows now, I'm very smart.
