Reset
The hot sun shines above me
and my legs ache.
The sweat is poling at my temples.
Why am I here?
The director yells at us to reset.
My body yells at me to stay
I dont stay
I reset
The music roars in my ears
and the sun bakes my skin.
It is hot
My arms scream in pain as I reset
It is so hot
Temperatures have reached an all time high
We cry out for water
but instead we are told to reset
Over and over and over again
it never ends
over and over and over again
until it is perfection
I take a breath
My flag flyes from my hands
I release my breath
and catch perfectly
but I am still told to reset
Why do I come back?
The pain is too much sometimes
and the heat is unbearable
yet i continue to reset
it is a part of me
this terrible thing
this small glimpse of hell
it made me who i am
It taught me determination
streangth
that quiting is not an option
and that no matter what
you finish what you started
reset
reset
reset
reset
Over and over and over again
the sun hurts my face
yet i continue to reset
over and over and over again
