Resighted
I drift
into the mirror
chasing eyes
that once were mine
And leave behind
the futile wish
in memory
confined
The silver backing
traps my fear
releasing
what’s been hidden
As I become
divorced from time
resighted
— and regiven

▾ This Poem's Voice
Your Poem's Voice
Blends personal mirror introspection with abstract time/identity dissolution
Multiple layered ideas compressed into brief lines; dense imagery and philosophy
Melancholic, trapped fear and loss; some redemption in release and transformation
Restless internal momentum; fragmented syntax creates urgency without explosiveness
Micro poem: single stanza, approximately 6 lines when properly parsed
Heavy metaphor (mirror/self), personification (silver backing), abstract philosophical imagery
Pure lyric internal voice; first-person consciousness exploring selfhood introspectively
