Resistance

There are shadows

Down the hall

In the corner

On the walls

Words are shallow

I hear voices

Some are deep

Most are small

They direct me

And inform me

To commit heinous acts

I keep my head down

I don't look back

There is a light somewhere

Somewhere

Causing the shadows

I won't give up

I won't give in

Each step descended

Is a battle won
